Hello
for the exhibit at confetti Im planning on have my laptop with a presentation, pro tools set up for people if they wish to look through the sessions. I will bring the copy of Thomas's EP with me that will have of the full artwork which people can look through. I will also bring a few copies of the EP in a sleeve with artwork and CD which they can take to listen to for free.
this is my plan all i will need is a table and chair, I may even ask Thomas Trueman to come down with me to help prompt himself and give some feedback on how I've performed as a engineer.

Progress
Hello
i thought I'll do a separate post for how far Ive gotten with Thomas Trueman, I'm aware that this post is on the same date but keep them post separate will make less reading I feel.
I met Thomas around the end March through a friend at work, she said her friend was a great musician and was looking for his material to be recorded and produced. So i went and listened to his music on my space. I was pleasently surprised how his music sounded soft, with a indie style lyrics.
I meet up with Thomas and we talked about what his goal was and how I could help. the Goals were to record 4 songs for an EP he could sell at gigs he was going to play at also put on iTunes. so this was straight away going to be my individual project as I needed to record, mix, master, find a mentor, create or find art work and look for events for Thomas to play.
since March I have artwork provided by Sam Bellamy, I have found a mentor called Tom Ash who is a musician, who's played in band for a few years and has been writing songs most of his life. with his input we have manged to record and mix 3 songs Mysteries, Confessions, & Nothings Changed. these songs already reflect on the work and how much we have become more comfortable at approaching a recording session.
the fourth track is on its way of being finished but due Thomas having exams there hasnt been much recording going off as hes been revising but this has left me to work on his artwork and how to get is tracks in iTunes.

from the begining to now
Hello
I'm Ashley and thins is my blog for my individual project. now Ive missed the deadline for submitting this blog this due to me working on my studio, work in general and working with Thomas Truman, and other bands which has taken up a lot of my time, but never the less Ive found some time to do this blog and i have a lot to talk about.
Proposal
Ive been working with an artiest called Thomas Trueman
Thomas Trueman is a musician who has been writing music for a few years but has not had the
opportunity to record his material. Thomas's style of music acoustic, indie and alternative, simalier to Newton Faulkner, and Jack Johnson.
The project is for me to help Thomas Trueman produce an EP with well produced material that
captures Thomas character. The EP will include four songs that he has written, there maybe an
opportunity for a 'Live' track or a cover. This will be the EP I will present to the show case in June.
The EP is being record on to Pro tools at 48kHz sample rate and 24bit. Also the tracks are going to
be mixed to Wav. And Mp3 for Thomas can upload his music to Myspace, Sound cloud etc...
This EP will also have a artwork which will be presented with the showcase.
